Festive Food Giveaway

Members of a Flower Arranging class organised by Friends of Richmond Park were lucky recipients of Christmas Food Hampers that were being distributed by Woodthorpe Development Trust in a true partnership approach across the area. The food items were donated by generous Woodthorpe Primary School pupils and their families to their Harvest Festival. These were then passed on to Woodthorpe Development Trust who then repackaged them into shoe boxes provided by Wyndsors Shoes in Hillsborough and then re distributed amongst local older people across Richmond, Intake, Woodthorpe and Hollinsend.

Ryszard Szumski the Development Worker in the local area said “ without the generosity and the partnership between all the organisations working in the area this would not have been possible, we’re hoping to continue this into the future by getting more local schools and organisations involved next year”.
