Get Hooked on Life is a free to use marketplace that brings together young people, activity professionals, funders, local authorities and schools to create opportunity and aspiration for all young people. We are a community-benefit organisation established to provide young people with ways of accessing safe, inspirational opportunities in order to get the most out of life.

Our website provides a shop front where you can find out about activities taking place; this ranges from after-school sports activities right through to drama workshops on weekends, music groups, mountain biking, and beyond. 365 days of the year. With a Get Hooked on Life account, you can genuinely make a difference, and have fun while you’re at it!

We can achieve this by working closely with local authorities (Such as Sheffield City Council) to provide a range of contract monitoring services aimed at funded activity contracts, by supporting organisations to monitor their achievement, deliver activity and celebrate success.

1. For young people and parents to find and participate in fun activity…

• Individual accounts mean you can customise your personal profile by adding information about yourself such as what music, TV and films you like. It lets you connect with friends and see what’s happening in your local area, as well as keeping track of your points.
• Making sure there are tonnes of activities on the website is not all that we do. We make sure that each activity is checked to meet our standards – so that you can just get on with having fun!
• Your feedback is vital. It helps make decisions. So we also provide you with the opportunity to anonymously tell us what you think of the activities that you’ve been to by giving them a simple star rating.

3. Schools get to the information they need to know. Quickly. 

• Through the system you can easily check and verify the details of external providers so that you are sure that they comply with current legal and safeguarding measures; this also means that this information is on hand when you need to compile reports for funding, local authorities and OFSTED.
• Schools can find out about the extra-curricular activities of their members; this allows them to get a fuller picture of all of the interests and positive activities which students are involved in outside of the classroom.
• We take care of generating parental consent forms for activities booked by young people directly through the website; this means one less admin job for you!
• You can use the site as a viewing platform to find out about what’s going on for young people  So that you can better sign-post them to positive local, or city wide activity.
