Childcare

Woodthorpe Development Trust provides a range of childcare services to the local community. Based within Woodthorpe Community Primary School, we are able to offer an after-school club and holiday playcare, as well as specialist play sessions and dedicated Saturday club for children with additional support needs and their families.

Children attending the after-school and holiday playcare sessions will take part in diverse and exciting activities such as cooking, arts and crafts, sports, and model making, as well as off-site trips to enjoy things such as bowling, roller skating, swimming, and even theme parks!

Our provision is OFSTED registered which means that we are able to accept National Childcare Vouchers, and with discounts for 2nd and subsequent children we are not only one of the best value childcare providers around, but the one your children will love coming to.

Our Saturday club and specialist play sessions allow us to provide high quality activities via referrals from the Special Needs Inclusion Play Service (SNIPS). This invaluable service provides short breaks for the families of children with additional needs aged between 5 and 18 years, and ensures that they are supported in a safe, secure and stimulating environment.

The impact of the childcare services we offer means that children have chance to play and develop with their peers, to socialise and experience different opportunities, and to develop and realise their full potential. In doing this we are contributing to keeping our children safe and reducing the chance they will become engaged in anti-social behaviour.
