Woodthorpe Friday Nite Youth Club
Woodthorpe Development Trust recently opened a youth club at the Woodthorpe TARA building on Ulley Road. The session runs each Friday night from 6.00pm - 8.00pm.There are a number of activities available for young people including computers, dj mixing, arts and craft, indoor rowing competitions and gaming. Parent volunteers as well as qualified staff run the sessions. The club is free and open to young people from 8 years to 13 years. Younger children from 6 years are welcome to attend as long as a responsible adult accompanies them.
Recent activities have included music creation workshops, card making, painting, talent competitions, World Cup based activities, indoor rowing competitions , face painting and nail art.
At present there are over 100 youngsters who are members of the club. the activities are based on consultation with the young people.
