Who is Sunshine Pre-School for? Any Child within the local area, aged 0-5 Years old
How will my child benefit? By learning new skills and developing existing ones such as communication, building relationships, being creative.
When is the Pre-School Open? Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm subject to demand.
Can the Pre-School care for my child who has special needs? The Pre-School staff make every effort to meet any special requirements your child may have. Please discuss these with the Pre-School Leader at enrolment.
Longer opening times! Pre-School is now open 50 weeks per year excluding Bank Holidays, Christmas and New Year Holidays.
What should my child wear for Pre-School? The children are encouraged to be creative and play with sand, water, paint, etc so please ensure they wear suitable clothing that is easily managed. They will also need a coat for outdoor play.
How much will it cost? Under 2’s Start From £3.00 Per Hour Over 2’s Start From £2.50 Per Hour
Can I stay with my child? We encourage parents to visit the Pre-School with their child prior to starting and also stay with them on the first session. Most Children soon settle in and are happy to be left to enjoy the experience.
Can I help in the Pre-School? Yes! The Pre-School staff agree that new help is always welcome. Please speak to the Pre-School leader to see how you could become involved.
How do I enroll my child? That’s easy! Just contact the Pre-School Leader to make arrangements. You will be asked to provide some basic information about your child in order to ensure their well being e.g. contacts, medical condition etc.
How is the Pre-School monitored? Our group is monitored by OFSTED on a regular basis. As a member of the PLA (Pre-School Learning Alliance) and SCCN (Sheffield Community Childcare Network) the Pre-School is committed to providing the highest standards of care and learning for your child. Surestart will need information on working parents and those on training courses All our staff are Enhanced CRB checked.
What if my child is sick? You are asked to keep your child at home if they have any infections and to notify the Pre-School of this. Please don’t allow your child to return to Pre-School until 48 hours after the last attack of vomiting or diarrhoea.
Is there anything else I need to know? The Pre-School has procedures to deal with Child Protection issues. You will be made aware of these if you register your child with the Pre-School. Alternatively you can contact the Children's Centre Manager on 0114 265 1188
